On November 8, 2008, the Office of Gay, Lesbian,Bisexual and Transgendered (GLBT) Affairs and the Office of the Deputy Mayor of Planning and Economic Development helped the Washington Economic Partnership and
PEN- Metro DC’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce produce the 2008 LGBT Economic Development Summit.
The goals of the summit were to ensure that GLBT business leaders and entrepreneurs received tools and information they could use to expand their business and continue to play an important role in leading the economic and creative development of the city. Over 150 people attended.
